Two divine lineages dwell in the Divine Plane, each born from one of the two great energies.
The Virean
The Virean are a divine lineage born from Vire. They believe that mortal worlds should be protected, guided, and allowed to grow in their own time.
The eight guardian gods assigned to watch over this world are Virean.
The Rivari
The Rivari are a divine lineage born from Rive. They were originally created to regulate natural chaos, to keep the necessary force of Rive flowing without letting it run wild.
Over time, many Rivari became corrupted by concentrated Rive. The corrupted among them began to harvest Rive from the suffering of mortals, from their fear, war, collapse, religious panic, betrayal, and contradiction.
Not all Rivari are villains. Their original purpose was balance. The antagonist of the current age is a single high-ranking, corrupted Rivari, see The Fracture.
